Foreign language learning as stipulated in the Malaysian Education Blueprint one of important facets towards developing a human capital. Upholding this aspiration, students at higher institutions are encouraged to take up foreign course throughout their study period. However, can be daunting and traumatic experience many due several reasons with gender role being most prominent factors. Hence, quantitative is done explore comparison fear across gender. The involved 202 from seven different courses namely German, Mandarin, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Italian French Universiti Teknologi MARA, UiTM, Shah Alam. A survey adapted Wenden Rubin (1987) Horwitz, Horwitz Cope (1986) was distributed through Google Form. data shown that female experienced greater all elements under communication apprehension, negative evaluation test anxiety, opposed male counterparts. Although showed equal level self-consciousness when speaking, anxiety seemed lower than females. could an invaluable source inform teaching especially creating stress-free environment for learning.
